The Sister's and Our Heart Space
‘Heart of space’ is situated along the beautiful Clarence river in historical Maclean which is apart of the Northern RIvers along the Northern New South Wales Coast. Opening in April 2017 we chose the building because of its character, almost 100years old the historical building is loved by many locals and has many stories behind it. Once being a showroom for MG's, a mechanics workshop and a petrol station there are still a few clues around the shop of its past including the MG sticker on the front window of our store.
Having been in business before together running Frogs Hollow Garden Centre and The Little Blue Wren it wasn't a hard decision after 10 years to open up our little business, it made sense that we share a job that allowed us to be able to spend time with our families. We were both looking for work at the time but after the decision was made and we found the right space it only taken us four weeks to open our little store! Many thanks to a lot of our suppliers that we previously had happy to restock our shelves.

Our business is operated by two sisters Leeane Wakefield (retail and customer relations specialist) and Theresa brook (horticulturalist, Chef and visual art graduate). We also have our beautiful mum Lynnie Watman who organises our
paperwork, our loving husbands Andrew Wakefield and Jeff Brook who helps us with maintenance and building things for our store. Between us we have six children, all helping us in different ways including modelling, technical issues (horrible computer stuff!), and store-room duties.

We pride ourselves as being a small family run business as do many other business's in Maclean, we appreciate all the support we get and we love to support back! We endeavour to bring our customers something to smile at in our store, green sheep being one of the favourites!
