On 2 and 3 October 2021, the Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association (LCACA) will conduct its 54nd Annual Arts and Crafts competition and exhibition at the Maclean Showground. This is usually an annual event but due to Covid and storm damage at Maclean Showground we have had to cancel it for the last 2 years. This year's categories will be Fine Art, Sculpture, Jewelery, Woodwork and Junior Art. Entry forms for all categories are available from http//Ferrypark.net and must be entered by 4 pm on 10 September 2021.
Over the years this annual competition and exhibition has developed a reputation for the very high quality of entries with a total prize pool of over $10000 attracting quality entries. The competition and exhibition is funded through a combination of business sponsorships, individual sponsorships, a Council grant and LCACA funds.
LCACA is a not for profit organisation operated by the members contributing their free time and energy to ensure the Ferry Park Gallery continues as a highly regarded attraction of the Lower Clarence. As I am sure you can appreciate, the LCACA has been heavily impacted by Covid and diversion of the new highway away from the Ferry Park Gallery. However, we are determined to continue contributing to the local Clarence culture.
Working together in the community is even more important in these difficult times.
